RC Cebu Gloria Maris Pre-Launches Amoma sa Kaugmaon for Inayawan Children’s Health

Early morning light warmed the grounds of Saint Arnold Janssen Child Development Center in Inayawan, Cebu City, as the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris gathered with eager hearts on September 12, 2025. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation for the pre-launching of Amoma sa Kaugmaon, a promising health initiative in partnership with Visayas Medical Hospital aimed at nurturing the well-being of the community’s children.

From 8:30 a.m. until noon, the center transformed into a vibrant space of hope and care. RCCGM volunteers, led by President Roxene Rosario and Vice President Atty. Rheswi Colina, moved through the rooms alongside medical experts and community leaders. Each corner echoed with gentle conversations, warm smiles, and the resolute spirit of service. Past Presidents Gay Marie Tiu, Jodelyn May Seno, and Mayet Lao were present, embodying the deep commitment of Rotary’s legacy.

Behind the pre-launch stood a powerful purpose: to prepare for a sustainable program focused on strengthening early childhood health through holistic medical support and education. The initiative aims to nurture physical, mental, and emotional development at a formative age—reflecting Rotary’s emphasis on community health and lasting impact.

Visitors witnessed children undergoing preliminary health assessments and receiving consultations, giving parents valuable knowledge and peace of mind. The seamless coordination between the hospital, center staff, and Rotary volunteers showcased a united front against childhood illnesses and developmental challenges. “Investing in the health of children today shapes a vibrant community tomorrow,” declared AG Christine Tan Ashby, reflecting on the transformative potential of the initiative.

Words of encouragement and gratitude filled the air, but the spark was in every small action: the comforting touch from volunteers, the attentive listening by health professionals, and the joyful laughter of children feeling cared for. “This pre-launch marks the beginning of a promise for brighter futures and healthier lives for Inayawan’s youngest generation,” said Past President Gay Bacalso, capturing the initiative’s essence with heartfelt clarity.

As the event closed, the spirit of collaboration and the vision for AMOMA sa Kaugmaon as a community-rooted, sustainable program took center stage. The pre-launch was a call to action for the entire community to rally around their children’s health, ensuring a strong foundation to support dreams and aspirations.

In a world often fraught with uncertainty, the Rotary Club of Cebu Gloria Maris’ pre-launch of AMOMA sa Kaugmaon stands as a beacon—uniting medical expertise, volunteer dedication, and community hope to build healthier tomorrows.

The future of Inayawan’s children looks brighter because of this compassionate, coordinated effort.
