RC Cainta Launches Rotary Community Corps to Empower Local Sewers in San Mateo

The Rotary Club of Cainta proudly announced the official induction of the Rotary Community Corps of San isidro Montalban, Rizal Sewers,on April 16, 2026, a meaningful initiative focused on empowering local sewers and promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities in the community.
Aligned with Rotary International’s Area of Focus on Growing Local Economy, the newly established Rotary Community Corps (RCC) aims to provide community members with
opportunities for economic growth through sewing and textile-based livelihood projects. As part of its support, the Rotary Club of Cainta donated 10 units of sewing machines worth 98,000.00 and textiles that will serve as the initial resources for the organization’s start-up operations.
The initiative seeks to help local sewers in San Mateo strengthen their skills, generate income, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for their families and community. Through this partnership, Rotary continues its commitment to uplifting lives through service, empowerment, and community collaboration.

Through this initiative, the club continues to embody Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” by helping communities become more self-reliant and productive.
