RC Baguio Highlands Kicks Off Rotary Year with “Dugong Alay, Handog Buhay” Bloodletting Project

The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands (RCBH) officially launched its first service project for Rotary Year 2026–2027 through "Dugong Alay, Handog Buhay," a bloodletting activity held on July 4, 2026 at Malcolm Square, Baguio City. Led by President Glorito Marasigan, the project aimed to gather blood donations for beneficiaries, reflecting Rotary's enduring commitment to saving lives and serving the community. Carrying this year's Rotary theme, "Create Lasting Impact," the initiative marked a meaningful beginning to another year of humanitarian service.

The activity was made possible through the collaboration of dedicated partner organizations, including Radio 98.7 FM Tambalan Bayanihan, the Philippine Red Cross, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), and the Baguio- Benguet Public Information and Civic Action Group. Through this strong partnership, volunteers, donors, and community members came together with one common purpose—to provide hope and help ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in need. The collective effort highlighted the power of unity and volunteerism in creating a healthier and more resilient community.

As its first service project of the Rotary year, "Dugong Alay, Handog Buhay" reflects the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands' unwavering dedication to humanitarian service and community impact.
