On May 5, 2026, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bayambang successfully distributed the third and fourth “bahay kubo” units to beneficiary families, marking another milestone in its ongoing housing support initiative.
The recipients, Rhealyn Diaz of Barangay Buayaen and Elizabeth Dignos of Barangay Ligue, both come from low-income households living in cramped and inadequate housing conditions.
The newly provided homes offer not only improved shelter but also enhanced living conditions, as each unit is equipped with solar panels, lighting, and electric fans. These additions aim to promote safer, more comfortable, and more sustainable living for the beneficiaries.
The project was made possible through a combination of resources, including the personal donation of Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao, funds raised from the “Grand Ukay for a Cause” initiative, and the active support of the Rotary Club of Bayambang under the leadership of President Leonora Sagun.
The distribution was led by LGU officials in coordination with various government offices, reflecting strong collaboration and community participation. The initiative stands as a testament to the power of bayanihan, highlighting how collective effort between the government, civic organizations, and private contributions can create meaningful and lasting impact for families in need.
