RC Aseana Manila Partners with Annual Million Trees Foundation and Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council for Manila Watershed Reforestation Initiative

The Rotary Club of Aseana Manila proudly partners with the Annual Million Trees Foundation, in collaboration with the Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council, for a meaningful tree-planting initiative dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Manila Watershed.

This impactful project is deeply aligned with Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, particularly:

  • Supporting the Environment – by restoring critical watershed areas through reforestation and the integration of bamboo as a sustainable, eco-friendly solution.

  • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) – by safeguarding our vital water sources to ensure clean and reliable water supply for surrounding communities.

  • Disease Prevention and Treatment – as healthy ecosystems contribute to better public health and reduced disease risks.

  • Community and Economic Development – by empowering local communities through environmental education, green jobs, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The Annual Million Trees Foundation has already planted over 10 million trees nationwide in the last five years, creating a significant impact on climate resilience, biodiversity preservation, and disaster risk reduction.

Through this partnership, Rotary Club of Aseana Manila reinforces its ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, climate action, and community empowerment.

Together, we plant the seeds of change — for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
