The Rotary Club of ASEANA Manila, led by UCP Sheryll Ann Mesina, officially launched “One in a Million Youth”, a nationwide health awareness campaign under its flagship project S.A.M. (Sustain. Aid. Medicate.), reaching over 1,000 students on its first day.
The initiative aims to educate and empower one million Filipino youth on HIV/AIDS prevention, cancer awareness, and mental health advocacy, breaking stigma and promoting informed, healthy lifestyles.
The Metro Manila leg was organized by Lifesaver Philippines, led by advocates Henry and Marc Endradura, in collaboration with partner Rotary Clubs:
RC Bagumbayan (Cancer Awareness)
RC Manila (Mental Health)
RC Dewey Boulevard Pasay, RC Pasay Southeast, RC Manila Villamor, RC Pasay Marina, and RC Tagaytay City as co-presentors.
“Project S.A.M. is more than a program—it’s our promise to protect and empower the next generation,” said UCP Mesina.
The campaign continues to roll out nationwide, inspiring youth and communities to live informed, healthy, and hopeful lives.
Count: 1,000 down, 999,000 to go!
