Impact Highlights
150 hygiene kits provided to classrooms and offices, aiming to foster a cleaner and healthier learning environment.
Interactive hygiene education delivered in targeted sessions, equipping students with vital knowledge to prevent illness and promote well-being.
This meaningful initiative serves as a heartfelt expression of Rotary’s commitment to health, education, and community empowerment, as it delivers both hygiene kits and interactive hygiene education sessions to young learners in six elementary schools in Navotas City—namely Bangkulasi, NBBN (Navotas Basic Barangay North), San Raphael, Navotas-1, San Roque, and Wawa Elementary Schools.
Through this program, the Rotary Club of Navotas seeks to create long-term, sustainable change in the lives of children by addressing not just their immediate needs but also fostering healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Each hygiene kit is carefully prepared to include essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and sanitary supplies, promoting proper hygiene practices among students who may not always have access to these resources at home.
Complementing the distribution is a series of hygiene education sessions, designed to engage children in a fun and informative way. These sessions are tailored to encourage responsibility for personal health, improve school attendance, and reduce the risk of preventable illnesses that can affect a child’s development and academic performance.
By focusing on four of Rotary International’s key areas of focus—Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water and Sanitation, Maternal and Child Health, and Basic Education and Literacy—this project not only strengthens the local foundation for wellness and learning but also contributes to broader global goals, specifically the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
More than a service project, this initiative is a living tribute to a beloved Rotary leader whose dedication to uplifting communities continues to inspire. Through compassion, collaboration, and a shared vision, the Rotary Club of Navotas honors that legacy by empowering hundreds of young students — helping them gain the confidence, knowledge, and care they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
As Rotarians, we believe that every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, educated, and full of hope. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our collective commitment to "Unite for Good" — creating ripples of positive change that begin in the classroom and extend to the wider world.
