Project HALIGI of RC Aseana Manila

Had a productive full-day collaborative meeting with former DENR Secretary Cerilles, PBDIC Executive Director Butch Madarang, NUMAT PH, and Climate Change Commissioner Albert Dela Cruz, together with UCP Sheryll Ann Mesina of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila.

Through the initiative and leadership of PBDIC Executive Director Butch Madarang, we discussed bamboo plantation development, bamboo furniture production, and livelihood programs designed to empower communities to craft world-class bamboo furniture for export to the Middle East and Europe.

This effort aims to create sustainable income for local farmers and strengthen the country’s bamboo industry.

This initiative is a key component of Project HALIGI of RC Aseana Manila.
