Partnerships in Action: RC San Fernando La Union Connects with Regional Leaders

The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) continued to build meaningful partnerships with key government agencies through a series of courtesy visits held during Week 12. These engagements reflect Rotary’s commitment to collaboration, good governance, and community empowerment.

On September 15, PP Brian and Rtn. Caloy represented the club in visiting two distinguished leaders: Regional Director Teresita Tabaog of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and OIC Regional Director Evangeline Dadat of the Department of Tourism (DOT). The discussions centered on exploring possible areas of partnership that would promote innovation, science-driven solutions, and tourism initiatives that highlight La Union’s unique culture and economic potential.

Strengthening linkages further, the team extended their courtesy call on September 17 to Regional Director Exequiel Ronie A. Guzman of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). The meeting emphasized the shared commitment of RCSFLU and DOLE in empowering workers and supporting livelihood programs that uplift communities.

These courtesy visits demonstrate RCSFLU’s proactive efforts to engage stakeholders in advancing Rotary’s areas of focus, particularly Economic and Community Development. By fostering strong relationships with government leaders, the club ensures that its initiatives remain sustainable, relevant, and impactful.

Through these partnerships, RCSFLU reaffirms its vision of service that goes beyond immediate projects—laying the groundwork for programs that inspire progress, strengthen livelihoods, and transform lives across La Union and beyond.
