Nueva Vizcaya Holds Learning Symposium on Climate Adaptation, Resilience, and Food Security

The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya hosted a Learning Symposium on Climate Adaptation, Resilience, and Food Security on September 19, 2025, at the provincial event hall, bringing together experts, policymakers, and community leaders in a united effort to strengthen climate resilience and promote sustainable food systems.
The event was spearheaded by the Climate Change Commission, led by Commissioner Albert P. Dela Cruz Sr., in partnership with the ASEAN Carbon Market Sustainability Council, the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila under President Sheryll Ann Mesina, and Allyson Santos.
Also in attendance were esteemed professors and geneticists from Bulgaria, who presented groundbreaking research on crop genetics and sustainable agricultural innovations.

Genetic innovations for food security
Opportunities in the ASEAN carbon market

Organizers emphasized that the symposium highlights the collective commitment to building resilient communities, advancing sustainable agriculture, and protecting biodiversity in Nueva Vizcaya and beyond.
