Lighting the Way: Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands Receives Top District Honors

The Rotary International District 3790 Cluster 1-C, under the leadership of Assistant Governor Tolitz B. Villanueva, held a vibrant and meaningful Recognition Night at Hotel Supreme, Baguio City.



The event brought together distinguished Rotarians from across the region to celebrate outstanding contributions to community service and humanitarian efforts. The evening highlighted the district’s commitment to peacebuilding, sustainability, and disease prevention, core areas of Rotary International’s global mission. 


 The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands under the leadership of President Eric Bernardez received special acclaim, clinching multiple prestigious awards. They were honored for their exemplary project, "Access to Clean Water as a Path to Peace", under the category of Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention.

The club was also named the Highest TRF (The Rotary Foundation) Club, a testament to its strong support for Rotary’s global initiatives. In addition, Immediate Past President Fernando Tiong was recognized for making the Highest Individual Contribution to the PolioPlus Program, reaffirming the club’s unwavering dedication to Rotary’s mission to end polio worldwide.
