In the spirit of Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands, together with Rotary International District 3790 Cluster 1C, led a relief operation for the victims of the recent fire in Brgy. Gibraltar, Baguio City. Held on July 20, 2025, stormy day, at the barangay evacuation center, the initiative brought comfort and immediate assistance to 117 individuals from 27 affected families.
With hearts full of empathy and a deep sense of civic duty, Rotary volunteers distributed essential relief items including rice, food packs, medications, groceries and hygiene supplies. Each pack represented more than material aid—it carried a message of hope, care, and solidarity. Volunteers not only provided basic necessities but also offered a listening ear and emotional support to the displaced families, reminding them that the community stands together in times of crisis.
This cluster-wide humanitarian project was made possible through the collaboration of all Rotary Clubs under Cluster 1C and partner organizations. Assistant Governor Anna Liza Chan expressed her gratitude to the donors, volunteers, and clubs involved, reaffirming Rotary’s commitment to serve with compassion and purpose.
Though the flames took much, the spirit of bayanihan burned brighter. The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands and its partners remain steadfast in their mission—proving that together, we can rise stronger.
