HISTORY MADE: Aklan’s Youth Take a Stand for Truth!

The first-ever "The Rotary Four-Way Test" Oratorical Contest just wrapped up at CityMall Kalibo. High school students competed under the theme "Beyond the Echo Chamber: Applying the Test to Media and Truth," using Rotary’s ethical principles to navigate modern challenges regarding integrity and digital media.

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Big congratulations to our trailblazing winners:

A huge thank you to our powerhouse Board of Judges: former Division of Aklan Education Supervisor I in English - Mrs. Prescy P. Magallanes, Kalibo Vice Mayor - Rotarian Phillip Kimpo, and multi-awarded youth advocate and Financial Advisor - Mr. George Estolloso.

ASPAK Focal Person Mr. Ronel Tersol served as the Master of Ceremonies, steering the program with the expertise of a seasoned professional.

This landmark initiative was hosted by the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) and the Association of School Paper Advisers Kalibo (ASPAK), in a powerful collaboration with DepEd Aklan, LGU Kalibo, and the Aklan Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO). Supported by the Rotaract and Numancia Integrated School Interact Clubs of Metro Kalibo, Wadeford Interact Club, and backed by premier media partners including Kalibo Cable TV Network, Love Radio, and Akeanon News Publishing, Inc., the contest marks a new chapter in fostering truth and civic responsibility among Aklanon youth.

As Vocational Service Month comes to a close, let’s carry the spirit of The Four-Way Test with us, using it as our guide to build a more peaceful world.
