In partnership with the Rotary Club of Yeongcheon (District 3630, South Korea) and The Rotary Foundation (TRF), RC Marikina North officially turned over $30,000.00 worth of critical medical equipment to the Philippine Red Cross Marikina Blood Collecting Unit on June 6, 2026.
The project, “Advancing Blood Bank Capabilities: An Equipment Upgrade Initiative” (Global Grant #2683778), directly boosts local healthcare resilience. The critical life-saving equipment that were have turned over include the following:
2 Blood Collection Mixers
1 Pharmaceutical Refrigerator
1 Tube Sealer
1 Interactive White Board
1 48KVA Diesel Generator (for uninterrupted power backup)
A huge thank you to The Rotary Foundation, District Governor Gina Sanchez, PRC Secretary General Gwen Pang, PDG Fabie Enriquez (our favorite), PDG Lee Jeng-youl, District Grant Chair PP Pilar Lee, almost the entire PRC Marikina Board of Directors chaired by PP Bojie Bernardino along with Administrator Jenny de Guzman, and all the 20 dedicated Rotarians, spouses, and prospective members from the club who attended the ceremony and joined the fellowship.
Now that's what you call ending the Rotary Year with an exclamation point!
Together, we are saving lives and showcasing the true power of international fellowship!
