Health Matters Take Center Stage at RCSFLU 6th Regular Meeting

Health, awareness, and community welfare took center stage as the Rotary Club of San Fernando (La Union) held its 6th Regular Meeting on September 8, 2026, featuring Raymund Ocampo Maningding, Provincial Head of the PhilHealth-La Union Office, as Guest Speaker.

The meeting provided members an opportunity to learn more about PhilHealth and its programs and services, bringing relevant information closer to Rotarians who, in turn, interact with various sectors and communities through the Club’s service initiatives.

Maningding’s presence also underscored the importance of keeping communities informed about programs intended to support their health needs. For service organizations such as Rotary, greater awareness of government health programs can help members better understand the resources and mechanisms available to the people they encounter through community work.

Beyond the guest presentation, the 6th Regular Meeting remained an important venue for fellowship and Club business. Members gathered to discuss ongoing activities, upcoming projects, partnerships, and opportunities as RCSFLU continued an active September calendar of service and Rotary engagements.

The meeting also demonstrated how RC SFLU’s regular gatherings can become platforms for connecting members with leaders and institutions whose work intersects with Rotary’s areas of focus. Conversations such as these can open doors to better coordination, stronger networks, and possible collaboration for future community initiatives.

With another productive meeting completed, RCSFLU continues to bring together fellowship, learning, and service. Each regular meeting becomes more than a gathering of members—it becomes another opportunity to strengthen the Club’s capacity to respond, connect, and Create Lasting Impact.
