A special highlight of the evening was the introduction and heartfelt address of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, Assistant Governor Anna Liza Chan, who spoke on the theme “Mother and Child” and the importance of parenting.
With warmth and wisdom, she emphasized that parenting is not only about guiding children at home but also about nurturing values, compassion, and resilience that extend into service and community work. Her reflections resonated deeply with the Rotarians, many of whom saw clear connections between the love and dedication of a parent and the spirit of service embodied in Rotary.
AG Chan further underscored that parenting equips individuals with patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others—qualities that align perfectly with Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.” Just as parents strive to raise responsible and caring children, Rotarians are called to build a better world for future generations.
Her message left the members inspired, reaffirming that the values nurtured at home are the same values that strengthen fellowship and drive meaningful projects in Rotary.
Thank you AG!
