From Fellowship to Service: RC San Fernando La Union, RC Baguio Highlands Explore Water for Life Partnership

The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union joined 3rd Regular Meeting of the the Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands on August 11, 2026 to explore a potential partnership for a joint Water for Life project. The meeting opened an opportunity for the two clubs to bring their shared commitment to service into a collaborative initiative addressing the continuing need for access to safe and sustainable water in communities.

The proposed partnership builds on the spirit behind the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union’s Water for Life initiative, which has previously mobilized significant support for communities affected by typhoons. Through the project, the Club has demonstrated how Rotary partnerships can translate resources, networks, and collective action into meaningful assistance for communities in need.

The discussion with Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands centered on the possibility of working together to identify communities that may benefit from a water-related intervention and to explore how both clubs can contribute to the planning, resources, and implementation of the proposed project. While still in the exploratory stage, the meeting represents an important first step toward turning a shared idea into a concrete service opportunity. More than a project discussion, the meeting reflected the power of Rotary fellowship to create connections that can eventually become partnerships for service.
