Finding Good Ways in Collaboration

BBSAMAMUCO - Birhen ng Bayan San Mateo Multipurpose Cooperative - is a multipurpose cooperative located in Guitnangbayan, San Mateo, Rizal. It was founded by Msgr. Mariano T. Balbago Jr., then a parish priest of Nuestra Sña De Aranzazu Shrine last March 2000.

The vision of the cooperative is to have "a community of coop leaders, uplifting lives of the members by providing quality services". The mission is patterned from the acronym PATH which means Provide quality and viable products and services to member owners, Alleviate socio economic life, Transform communities which adhere to the values of commitments, responsible membership, honesty and harmony, and Harness environmental activities through outreach program. The goal of the cooperative is to help improve the quality of life of its members.

So what's new? Between BBSAMMUCO and the Rotary Clubs, they are the same. Both consider mankind as our business, uplift lives, look after the people's needs and welfare, act with kindness, loyalty, integrity, and generosity, especially in the light of the 7 Areas of Focus of Rotary.

RC San Mateo Midtown plus BBSAMAMUCO equals SERVICE. As our present Municipal Mayor Omie would often jokingly call the cooperative's members, "Baby, sama mo ako", which means "walang iwanan, sama sama, together, one heart, one soul".

Therefore, the collaboration of RC San Mateo Midtown with the cooperative (duly registered with the CDA) will mark the beginning of more service projects, especially in the town of San Mateo. With the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on 07 February 2026, more joint service projects are expected in the months and years to ocme.

New corporate partnerships is a visionary goal of Rotary International District 3800 Governor Gina Sanchez for each Rotary Club to achieve, in order for them to expand their reach and help more beneficiaries through combined resources and at the same time promote Rotary's public image.

KUDOS TO GOOD PRESIDENT EDNA MANZON AND RC SAN MATEO MIDTOWN!
