The Rotary Club of Angeles Kuliat began Rotary Year 2025–2026 with purpose, energy, and a deep commitment to “Unite for Good” through a service-filled Kick-Off Project at Monicayo Integrated School in Sitio Monicayo, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Led by the dynamic and service-driven President Josephine Juna Dianelo, the club—alongside its vibrant youth arm, the Rotaract Club of Angeles Kuliat under the leadership of President Raymark Quizon—transformed the first day of July into a celebration of compassion and collaboration.
The project was more than just a ceremonial start to the new Rotary Year—it was a multi-faceted initiative addressing the immediate and long-term needs of schoolchildren in the underserved upland community. The club, in close partnership with the school’s teachers and officers, rolled out a series of impactful projects rooted in Rotary’s Areas of Focus, particularly Disease Prevention and Treatment, Basic Education and Literacy, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Supporting the Environment.
Key initiatives included:
• Turnover of a cold drinking fountain with water filtration system to provide clean, safe, and accessible hydration for students and staff.
• Distribution of anti-kuto shampoo and mosquito spray, promoting personal hygiene and wellness within the student body.
• Feeding program that nourished over 100 learners—fueling both body and mind.
• PE uniform distribution, ensuring that every student starts the school year with dignity, unity, and a sense of belonging.
• Reusable tumbler distribution, promoting both sustainability and hydration awareness.
• Turnover of electric wall fans for improved classroom ventilation and comfort.
• Vegetable seedling planting, engaging Rotarians, Rotaractors, and students in hands-on environmental stewardship and community food security.
• Clay-making contest, encouraging creativity, fine motor development, and joyful learning.
The entire day reflected the Rotary spirit—where every activity planted a seed of hope, dignity, and opportunity. These projects weren’t just donations—they were investments in the children’s future.
“As we embrace the new Rotary Year with the theme Unite for Good, we remain steadfast in our mission to uplift communities and empower the next generation through service that inspires, heals, and builds,” shared President Juna.
Indeed, the Kick-Off Project was a powerful testament to the idea that when Rotarians and Rotaractors unite, they become a force for enduring good—changing lives not only for a day but for a lifetime.
Unite for Good. Serve with Heart. Impact the Future.
