District 3830 Community Service Forum: Transformative Highlights - Shaping a Precious Future with Rotary’s Magic!

The Rotary International District 3830 Community Service Forum, held at the Mini Theater in the Administration Building of Makati University in Dr. Jose P. Rizal Ext, Taguig, Metro Manila, brought together representatives from various Rotary Clubs of District 3830 to discuss the importance of Rotary's Areas of Focus and the role of the Rotary Community Corps.

The forum, which started at 12:00 noon, aimed to raise awareness about Rotary's global efforts to address seven areas of focus: peace and conflict prevention, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, education, economic development, and environment protection. The event also highlighted the significance of the Rotary Community Corps, a program that empowers individuals to become agents of change in their communities.

One of the key speakers was a representative from Go Negosyo, who shared insights on their Entrepreneurship Program. The program aims to support small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs by providing training, mentorship, and access to resources. The representative emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and creating jobs, which is in line with Rotary's area of focus on economic development.

Another notable speaker was from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), who discussed the role of their institution in developing the skills of individuals who need training in various technical courses. TESDA offers a range of programs that cater to different industries, from agriculture to healthcare. The representative highlighted the importance of TESDA's national-level certification program, which enables individuals to work abroad and contribute to the global economy.

The forum was initiated by District Precious Irresistible Governor Prescy Youlo, who emphasized the importance of community service in addressing global challenges. "As Rotarians, we are committed to making a positive impact in our communities," said Governor Yulo. "Our Areas of Focus provide a framework for our members to work together towards making a difference."

The forum provided a platform for attendees to engage with each other and share their experiences in community service. It also raised awareness about the impact that Rotary can have on communities around the world. The event was attended by representatives from various organizations, including business owners, educators, and community leaders.

The forum concluded with a sense of renewed commitment among attendees to continue making a positive impact in their communities. As Rotarians, we are reminded that our efforts are not just limited to service projects but also extend to empowering individuals and communities through education, entrepreneurship, and economic development.

The Rotary International District 3830 Community Service Forum was a valuable experience for all attendees, providing a deeper understanding of Rotary's Areas of Focus and the importance of community service. As we move forward, we are excited to see the impact that our efforts will have on our communities and beyond.
