Building Bridges in Manila: Pres Rem Joins RC Manila Regular Meeting

Friendship often becomes the starting point of meaningful Rotary service. On September 3, 2026, RC SFLU President Remigio “Rem” Bonifacio III joined the Rotary Club of Manila during its Regular Meeting, opening another promising chapter of fellowship and inter-club collaboration.

Pres Rem’s participation provided an opportunity to connect with members of one of the country’s Rotary clubs and introduce the continuing work and service initiatives of the Rotary Club of San Fernando (La Union). Beyond attending the meeting, the engagement served as a venue for building relationships and exchanging ideas on how clubs from different communities can work together.

Among the possibilities emerging from the engagement is the development of a future sisterhood relationship between RC SFLU and RC Manila. Such a partnership could provide a framework for continuing fellowship, knowledge-sharing, and greater cooperation between the two clubs.

More importantly, conversations also opened possibilities for a future joint service project. By combining networks, expertise, and resources, inter-club partnerships can expand the reach of Rotary service and create initiatives with greater and more sustainable community impact.

For RC SFLU, reaching beyond its home district is part of a broader commitment to cultivate relationships that lead to meaningful action. Every Rotary meeting attended is an opportunity not only to renew fellowship, but also to discover new partners who share the same desire to serve.

The September 3 visit may have begun around a regular meeting table, but the conversations it inspired could lead to something much bigger. As friendship grows into partnership, RCSFLU looks forward to opportunities with RC Manila where fellowship can become service—and service can Create Lasting Impact.
