Aseana Manila Rotary Leaders Participate in Climate Action Engagement in Malabon City

A highly productive day unfolded in Malabon City as Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and key city officials welcomed the Office of the President – Climate Change Commissioner Albert Dela Cruz, LCCAD Executive Director Nong Clidoro “Nong C.” Rangasa, and EcoSaver Chairperson Sheryll Ann Mesina, who also serves as President of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila.

President Sheryll was joined by PE Allyson Santos, RC Aseana Changemaker Rotaractor Gico Teano, and UCP Karen Sumandal of RC Dewey Blvd., representing Rotary with commitment and purpose.

The group facilitated a comprehensive 4-hour Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Learning Seminar for the local government unit — an essential initiative aimed at strengthening local capacity, enhancing disaster preparedness, and fostering long-term community resilience.

Adding to the day’s meaningful engagements, Malabon Rep. Ricky Sandoval made a brief visit to the Office of the Mayor to extend his greetings, further demonstrating strong local support for collaborative climate action.

This unified effort reflects Rotary’s ongoing mission to promote environmental stewardship, empower communities, and champion sustainable development for a safer, more resilient future.
