A significant milestone for regional climate leadership unfolded at the University of Makati during the formal induction of the ASEAN Carbon Market Sustainability Council (ACMSC), a council dedicated to strengthening sustainable carbon markets and advancing climate initiatives in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.
Former Department of Agriculture Secretary Dr. William Dar was inducted as Council Chairman, bringing with him decades of expertise in environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
Representing the Rotary community with pride and purpose, United Chosen President Sheryll Ann Mesina of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila was inducted as Council President, together with the following officers:

The ceremony was officiated and witnessed by Climate Change Commissioner Albert Dela Cruz and Former PNP Chief Nicanor Torre, reflecting the strong commitment of national leaders to support credible and collaborative climate action.
With its induction, the Council is set to spearhead carbon reduction programs, strengthen climate adaptation and mitigation initiatives, and foster deeper ASEAN-wide cooperation toward sustainability.
This united effort marks a forward-looking step toward a greener, more resilient future for the region.
