Advancing Peacebuilding and Community Safety

Grounded in a shared commitment to community safety and peacebuilding, Past President (PP) Megs Lunn, Trainor and Director of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850), served as one of the panelists for both the opening and final days of evaluation for the "Pulis Respondeng Mabilis Service Award 2026."

Hosted by the Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) Advisory Group, the evaluation process highlighted exemplary service, rapid response, and outstanding contributions to local public safety.

Throughout the multi-day evaluation process, PP Megs Lunn joined fellow civic leaders and advisory panel members to assess police personnel and units demonstrating exceptional dedication to rapid response and public service.

Recognized leadership and swift action remain essential pillars in constructing stronger, safer, and more resilient communities across Aklan province.

"Beyond evaluating excellence in service, this platform serves as a powerful reminder that true security relies on strong, trust-filled relationships between our police force and the public. Peace isn't built in isolation—it’s created together."

PP Megs is certified by Rotary-Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) as Ambassador Alumna and Cohort 2021 (Sydney, Australia). The Rotary-IEP Partnership is a strategic alliance launched in 2017 that combines Rotary's local grassroots mobilization with IEP's data-driven peace research.

The club continues to champion peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and community development by collaborating with local law enforcement and civic organizations to drive meaningful social impact.

The Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo invites community members, organizations, and partners to join hands in making a lasting impact. To learn more or collaborate on upcoming peacebuilding initiatives, contact the club at rcmetrokalibo@gmail.com.
