A Torch Passed, A Flame Renewed: RCCF Celebrates 44 Years of Inspired Service

The Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente celebrated its 44th Handover and Induction Ceremonies on August 2, 2025, at The Event Space, embracing not just tradition but the spirit of joyful renewal. Outgoing President Patrick Yared was honored for his selfless leadership and heartfelt dedication, as the mantle of responsibility was passed to Incoming President Jason Ong.

With an atmosphere as fresh and colorful as spring itself—the chosen motif of the evening—the event was a symphony of gratitude, unity, and renewed commitment.

The ceremonial rites were dignified and moving, with Past District Governor Joseph  “Yumi” Espina charging the new President, PDG Philip Tan charging the new Board, and District Governor Angel "Jong" Fernandez officiating the induction, accompanied by his gracious wife. Warm fellowship was shared with District Officers, sister clubs from Korea and various parts of the Philippines, as RCCF proudly stood among friends, partners, and a global Rotary family.

Congratulations to this year’s awardees the Outstanding Rotaractors, Outstanding Past President Jomar Ponce, and Outstanding Rotarian of the Year- Jason Ong.

This year's celebration bloomed with vibrant collaboration. From the elegant floral decor to the spirited dance number, every detail bore the loving touch of First Lady Janice Ong, a true embodiment of "Service Above Self."

Masterfully hosted by Past Presidents Maricel Borromeo-Amores and Bernz Amago, the evening was a heartfelt showcase of teamwork—RCCF Officers, dedicated Rotaractors led by JN Vianney and Shevee Resolado, supportive spouses, and tireless Partners in Service all worked hand-in-hand.

It was not merely an induction—it was a spring awakening, a collective commitment to "Unite for Good." With a renewed flame and hearts aligned, the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente welcomes a new season of purpose and impact—where every torch passed becomes a light for others to follow.
