A Golden Legacy Renewed: RC Mandaluyong West Marks 51 Years with Historic Global Grant

May 25, 2026 marked a monumental, double-milestone celebration for the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong West (RCMW) as it celebrated 51 years since being chartered on May 25, 1975. Led by Good President Angeli Pinky Ancheta, the club chose to honor over half a century of humanitarian legacy not just with words, but with massive, life-changing action.

Carrying the Torch Forward

Marking the club's first Global Grant in eight years (following the $80,000 USD Human Milk Bank spearheaded by PP Rita Carla Dejeres), GP Angeli Ancheta and the RCMW team successfully executed a new $30,000 USD Global Grant Turnover Ceremony.

The club delivered vital, life-saving equipment, including two (2) blood refrigerators anda tube sealers, to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). Highlighting the historic day, a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between R.I. District 3800 and the Philippine Red Cross, headed by Sec. Gen. Gwen Pang, ensuring immediate health, relief, and hope to those in critical need.

"We wanted to celebrate over half a century of legacy not just with words, but with meaningful action," said Pres. Angeli Pinky Ancheta.

A Day of Fellowship and Fulfillment

The milestone was celebrated from morning until night with a full day of sharing:

- Lunch at the PRC: Celebrating the turnover with a sumptuous lunch hosted by Dr. Roberto Dacles, Rizal Chapter Administrator of the Red Cross;

- Coffee at CBTL: Unwinding to laugh, share decades of beautiful memories, and pre-plan for the next term; and

- Dinner at Luk Foo: Wrapping up the epic celebration knowing that Together We Did It!

For GP Pinky Ancheta, seeing this personal vision cross the finish line was a profound moment of fulfillment, leaving the club deeply moved, grateful, and energized for June's

Rotary Fellowship Month.

Deepest Gratitude

This milestone was made possible through the dedication of incredible partners. RCMW extends its profound thanks to Dr. Roberto Dacles, District Governor Gina Sanchez, the Unite For Good TRF Team (DFRC Arturo Bobby Tanyag, Grants Chair Pilar Lee, and TRF Chair DGN Sherrylou Khosiking), PDG Fabie Enriquez, international partner RC Jeongju Poongnam (South Korea), SAG Oliver Salud, AG Michelle Manuel, and all RCMW clubmates present, at home and overseas/out of town.

United for good, RC Mandaluyong West steps forward into its next chapter, remaining completely dedicated to our core guiding principle: “Service Above Self”.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!
