On World End Polio Day, Rotary District 3800 Cluster 5 clubs came together in a spirited effort and creative way to fight polio through “Boo-tiful Hearts”, a Halloween-themed campaign to raise awareness for Rotary International’s global fight to End Polio Now.
Held at the Special Children Education Institute in Pasig City, the event spread smiles and awareness among more than 200 learners with diverse abilities, who came dressed in their colorful United Nations-themed costumes for a festive and inclusive Halloween celebration.
Rotarians from across Zone 6 Pasig and Zone 8 Mandaluyong clubs joined and gave their time and efforts, including city officials and Pasig Rotarians Congressman Roman Romulo and Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski, along with District leaders – District Polio Coordinator Cathay Tech, District Deputy Secretary John Javier, Senior Assistant Governors Sarah Canlas and Oliver Salud, Assistant Governors Lolet Austria, Danny Mojica, Buboy Maguikay, and Jana Santiago, and the Good Presidents from both zones.
Through this collective effort, the Cluster 5 clubs showed how advocacy can be fun, inclusive, and impactful – proving that: Together, we can build a healthier, more compassionate world, and continuing the mission to #EndPolioNow.
