A powerful show of Rotary's unity and spirit took center stage today as 36 wheelchairs were distributed to individuals and families in need during the “Walk for Life” event held at the Immaculate Conception Archdiocesan School.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City in collaboration with RC Zamboanga City Central and RC Basilan, the event was made possible through the generous support of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in partnership with the Southern Philippines Medical Center.
This meaningful initiative was further strengthened by the leadership of District 3830 Governor Prescita “Prescy” Yulo, District 3850 Governor Richard Voting Centino, and the Rotary Club of Makati-F. Zobel, which served as the project’s lead implementor.
Special recognition was given to Father Elmer Sumile for providing the venue, and to 1st Lt. Armstrong De Castro of the Rotary Club of Makati Ayala Triangle Trailblazers for helping coordinate logistics.
In heartfelt opening remarks, RCZC President Paul Molina reminded everyone that this was more than just a wheelchairs or physical movement, but it was a celebration of life, health, and community.
