31 Years of Service, One Heart for Bayanihan
For 31 years, the Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando La Union has remained committed to the spirit of Service Above Self, bringing people together through friendship, compassion, and meaningful service. This spirit of unity and Bayanihan was celebrated during the club’s 31st Anniversary Celebration and 32nd Induction Ceremony on July 19, 2026, at the Pro Tempore, Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center.
Inspired by the Filipino fiesta, the celebration was more than an anniversary. It was a celebration of the people and partnerships that continue to strengthen RC Metro SFLU. Every member contributed their time, talents, and expertise—from venue preparation and registration to technical operations, hosting, and welcoming guests. Together, they demonstrated that when everyone works toward one purpose, every effort becomes meaningful.
The celebration was filled with joy and fellowship, highlighted by the lively “Bongga Ka ’Day” dance craze, where Charter Past Presidents, Past Presidents, officers, future leaders, Baby Rotarians, and guests came together on the dance floor. It was a joyful reminder that Rotary is not only about serving communities but also about building friendships that transcend generations.
A meaningful highlight was the Sister Club Signing Ceremony, reaffirming our commitment to stronger partnerships and collaborative service. The presentation of Certificates of Tree Planting also symbolized our shared commitment to environmental stewardship and future generations. We are deeply grateful to our 15 Sister Clubs for their 100% attendance and unwavering friendship: Camp Crame, Valenzuela East, Central Tarlac, Sta. Cruz, Dolores, Dagupan East, Dagupan, Laoag Sunshine, Healthkeepers, Vigan, Magsingal North, Baguio North, Agoo, San Juan, and Bauang.
The ceremony also marked a new chapter of leadership as the 2026–2027 officers officially took their oath under the leadership of President Ma. Clarissa “Bong” Lee, guided by the Rotary theme “Create Lasting Impact.” The Turnover of the Gavel from Outgoing President Clarence Morales to President Bong Lee symbolized the continuity of Rotary’s mission.
President Clarence was also recognized with a Leadership Award for his dedicated service.
The club welcomed two new Rotarians, Mitchel Guzman and Allen Nonan, inducted through the charging led by PDG Panding Nisce and officiated by District Governor Ronald Dy. Crossover members Lyndon Jeth Hate and Neil Brian Casem were also proudly welcomed into the RC Metro SFLU family.
As we celebrate 31 years, we honor our past, embrace our present, and look forward to the future. With Bayanihan in our hearts, friendship as our foundation, and service as our purpose, RC Metro SFLU continues its journey toward creating lasting impact.
31 years of service. One Rotary family. One shared purpose. One lasting impact. Mabuhay ang Rotary Club of Metro San Fernando La Union! Mabuhay ang diwa ng Bayanihan!
