The Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union (RCSFLU) in partnership with Inner Wheel Club of San Fernando La Union (IWCSFLU) and the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) La Union celebrated the culmination of its 120-day “Isang Itlog, Isang Araw” Feeding Program at Pagudpud Integrated School on February 12. The initiative directly supported Rotary’s Area of Focus on Basic Education and Literacy, recognizing that proper nutrition is fundamental to effective learning and child development.
For 120 consecutive days, children-beneficiaries received daily nutritional support—an egg symbolizing consistency, care, and hope. The program addressed immediate nutritional needs while reinforcing the importance of health in academic performance. Teachers and parents alike observed improved attentiveness and participation among the learners.
The culmination program highlighted not only the tangible outcomes but also the collective effort behind the initiative. Club members, partners, and school officials united to ensure the program’s success, embodying Rotary’s spirit of collaboration and compassion.
Through sustained action rather than one-time assistance, RCSFLU demonstrated that meaningful change requires commitment. The feeding program stands as proof that small daily interventions can build stronger, healthier futures for children.
The success of the program was also exteneded for the partnership with the administration of Pagupud Integrated School and the Department of Education- City Schools Division of San Fernando City, La Union.
