Young Mothers Buntis Seminar

In celebration of Maternal and Child Health Month, the Rotary Club of Marikina Central continues its commitment to serve and uplift communities through initiatives that support mothers and children.

Through the Young Mothers Buntis Seminar held on 06. March 2026 at the KnighTs of Columbus Clubhouse in San Roque, Marikina City, the club aimed to empower teenage and first-time mothers with the right knowledge, care, and community support they need for a safe and healthy pregnancy journey. The seminar covered essential topics such as understanding pregnancy, proper nutrition for both mother and baby, preparing for safe delivery, and mental health and postpartum readiness.

More than just a seminar, this initiative was about compassion, guidance, and making sure every mother feels supported during one of the most important stages of her life.

As part of the program, the club also distributed basic maternity kits, vitamins, milk, diapers, and other essential items to selected expecting mothers to help them prepare for the arrival of their babies.

This project was made possible in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Marikina Central and the Knights of Columbus – Marikina Valley Council 6178, whose partnership helped strengthen our shared mission of caring for families and building healthier communities.

Together, we continue to live the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self, working hand in hand to create a future where mothers are empowered and children are given the healthy start they deserve.

Because every mother deserves guidance — and every child deserves a healthy start.
