Where Hope Begins: Arianna’s First Step Toward a New Smile

Today, hope took its first step.

On the first day of the 21st Rotaplast International Cebu Medical Mission 2026 at Adventist Hospital Cebu, we witnessed a moment that reminds us why this mission matters.

Our very first beneficiary is Baby Arianna from Bantayan Island, Cebu, a brave young girl born with a unilateral complete cleft condition. After traveling from her island home with courage in her heart and hope in her family’s prayers, Arianna is now on the path toward a new beginning.

Behind every surgery is a story of love, faith, and the unwavering belief that every child deserves the chance to smile without pain and live with confidence and dignity.

Arianna represents the many children whose lives will be touched in this mission. Her journey reminds us that when people from different parts of the world come together in service, healing happens and futures are changed.

To our dedicated Rotaplast International medical team, our partners at Adventist Hospital Cebu, and the officers and members of the Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre, this is the magic of service in action.
