This morning, the Rotary Club of Cebu Port Centre, led by President Francis Walter Ong, together with our sister club, the Rotary Club of Forbes Park headed by President Ronald Cillo, turned over construction materials to 80 families in Barangay Lusaran, Cebu City—a mountainous community deeply affected when Typhoon Tino washed out their homes through sudden flash floods.
This is the second joint outreach of the two clubs in just two weeks. Recently, both clubs also extended help to 150 beneficiaries in Sitio CCF, Barangay Umapad, Mandaue City through donations of mattresses, pillows, hygiene kits, pails, and other essentials.
Joining today’s activity were PP George Hong with spouse Jojo, Director Clark Byron Gothong, and Director Robert Barquilla—true examples of Rotary’s commitment to serve. We also thank Barangay Captain Agustin Partulan and Barangay Treasurer Charlie Bacayo for their warm support and coordination.
A special thank you to our generous partners from RC Forbes Park and Venetia Family whose donation made this relief and rebuilding effort possible. Together, we continue to uplift communities in need—one act of service, one life, and one home at a time.
This is Rotary. This is how we Unite for Good.
This is what it means to be People of Action.
