"Tthe Rotary Club of Mandaluyong (RCM), led by President Jethro Banez, joined hands with Rotaract District 3800 and the Philippine Dental Association – Rizal Chapter for “Unite for Smiles,” a meaningful dental service outreach held at the Manila Girls’ Home in Marikina City on 05 July 2025.
Marking the first major service activity of the new Rotary Year, the project reflected the spirit of Rotary’s commitment to community care and wellness. The event brought smiles and joy to the young girls of the shelter, who participated in oral health education, a fun toothbrushing drill, fluoride application, and received hygiene kits to support proper dental habits.
RCM members also brought thoughtful donations—distributing clothes, caps, hats, and sunglasses - that brought visible joy to the girls, creating a sense of early Christmas.
RCM was represented by President Jethro Banez, DRR Alvin Ferrer (also a proud RCM member), SAG Oliver Salud, DDS John Lam, PP Apollo Tan, and Spouse Aileen, all actively contributing to the day’s success.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Gary Ferreira of GWL (Giving Whilst Living) for his generous support, which truly made the girls smile and helped make the day even more special.
“Unite for Smiles” wasn’t just a dental mission—it was a reminder of the power of service to bring care, dignity, and happiness to those who need it most.
Tulong tulong. Sama sama.
Mabuhay ang Rotaract District 3800!
Mabuhay ang Philippine Dental Association – Rizal Chapter!
Mabuhay ang RC Mandaluyong!
Mabuhay ang Rotary!
