Sheryll Ann Mesina, United Chosen President of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila, has been appointed as a Major General (Two-Star General) of the nationwide Climate Change Task Force — a growing organization now composed of more than 15,000 members united in advancing environmental protection and sustainability across the Philippines.
The officers of the Climate Change Task Force were formally inducted by PNP General Torre, underscoring the significance of this strengthened national movement for climate resilience.
As part of its mandate, the Task Force is responsible for:
Developing and implementing comprehensive climate action plans;
Overseeing adaptation and mitigation programs at the national and local levels;
Providing education, training, and capacity-building initiatives;
Strengthening multi-sectoral and inter-agency partnerships;
Leading and supporting community-based environmental projects;
Monitoring climate-related efforts, research, and best practices; and
Driving strong advocacy and public awareness campaigns that empower communities to act.
