The Rotary Club of Eisenhower continued its “Seeds of Change” campaign with an interactive activity at Batasan Elementary School in Arayat, Pampanga. More than 150 students participated in an engaging session on environmental awareness led by Rotarians Eric Lumibao and Abner Garcia Jr.
The activity focused on simple but practical lessons about caring for the environment, including organic farming, the importance of planting trees, and the value of responsible stewardship. The speakers kept the discussion interactive, encouraging students to reflect on how small daily actions can protect their surroundings.
As part of the visit, the club also turned over assorted fruit seedlings and garden tools to the school’s faculty. The donation aims to help improve the school’s garden and create a sustainable learning space where students can observe how trees grow and understand their role in the ecosystem.
Rotary Club of Eisenhower President Ros Montilla expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from the school. “We believe that when we nurture young minds, we plant seeds of responsibility and compassion that will grow with them,” she shared.
The club hopes to continue expanding the Seeds of Change series to more communities, promoting environmental education and supporting schools in building greener, healthier surroundings.
