Save the Planet, One Tree at a Time

In support of Rotary’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the Rotary Club of Cebu South, in partnership with the PICPA Cebu Chapter and Mora Sanchez Meñoza and Associates CPAs, carried out a tree‑planting activity in the upland Barangay of Tagbao, Cebu City.

The initiative involved the planting of fruit‑bearing trees, contributing to environmental protection while helping strengthen food sustainability and long‑term livelihood potential within the community. By focusing on an upland area, the project also supports soil stability and watershed protection—key elements in preserving the local ecosystem and mitigating environmental degradation.

Through this collaborative effort, the participating organizations demonstrated how partnerships can create meaningful and lasting impact. The project reflects Rotary’s belief that addressing environmental challenges requires both community engagement and sustained action—ensuring that today’s service contributes to a healthier environment for future generations.

This activity exemplifies Rotary’s people‑of‑action spirit, translating environmental advocacy into hands‑on service that responds to community needs while advancing global priorities on environmental care and sustainability.
