Rotary Club of Luntiang Maynila Prime brings holiday cheer to typhoon-affected families

On a chilly December afternoon, the Rotary Club of Luntiang Maynila Prime gathered on a heartwarming mission to bring joy to families affected by Typhoon Kristine.

The much-anticipated "Magic of Rotary Gift Giving Day" saw club members, led by Charter President Elberto Regis, deliver Christmas gifts to 250 families at Camp Iraya Woodside.

The event, supported by Sunway International Manpower Services Inc. and the Regis Foundation, was the culmination of weeks of planning. Despite a grueling 19-hour journey marred by heavy traffic in Camarines Sur, the Rotarians’ spirits remained high, united by their purpose.

Upon arrival, the sight of eager faces awaiting their gifts erased all fatigue. The warmth of Filipino hospitality, exemplified by Rotarian Mary Junosa Salazar’s welcome and a sumptuous meal, set the tone for a day filled with laughter and camaraderie.

The gift distribution brought smiles and hope to many, reinforcing the community’s resilience and the Rotary Club's commitment to service. As the day ended, the Rotarians departed with hearts full, carrying stories of resilience and a renewed sense of purpose.

The ‘Magic of Rotary Gift Giving Day’ not only provided material support but also rejuvenated the spirit of giving, weaving a tapestry of kindness that will continue to touch lives.
