Rotary Club of Central Tarlac Conducts Free Legal Consultation for PDLs at Tarlac City Jail

Lawyer members of the Rotary Club of Central Tarlac conducted a free legal consultation for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Tarlac City Jail Male Dormitory as part of the club’s continuing commitment to service and peacebuilding. The activity provided PDLs with an opportunity to seek legal guidance, ask questions regarding their cases, and better understand their rights and available legal remedies.

Joining the activity were the Youth City Officials, who were given the chance to listen to the concerns and personal experiences of the PDLs. Through this meaningful engagement, the young leaders gained firsthand exposure to the realities of the justice system and its impact on the lives of individuals and families. The experience also fostered greater empathy, social awareness, and a deeper appreciation of the importance of access to justice.

Anchored on Rotary’s spirit of Service Above Self and the call to Unite for Good, the initiative highlighted the value of compassionate service, legal empowerment, and peacebuilding through understanding and community engagement.
