In celebration of Maternal and Child Health Month, a meaningful outreach project titled “Every Mother Matters, Every Child Counts” was held on July 30, 2025, at Barangay 128 Permanent Housing, Smokey Mountain, Balut, Tondo, Manila.
Spearheaded under the leadership of District Governor Mary Mei Rodrigo (RY 2025–2026), the project provided vital maternal care and support to 50 pregnant women from Barangay 128 and surrounding communities. The initiative focused on promoting safe pregnancies, proper nutrition, and early child care—ensuring a stronger start for both mother and child.
The event also highlighted the active participation of UCP Sheryll Ann Mesina of the Rotary Club of Aseana Manila, who joined fellow Rotarians in delivering assistance and sharing words of encouragement, fostering unity and service among clubs in District 3810.
Assistance Packages Included:
• Nutritious milk packs
• Ferrous sulfate supplements
• Baby beddings and pillows
• Project slogan t-shirts
• Health talks on prenatal care and nutrition
• On-site consultations with licensed midwives
“A healthy mother means a healthy future. Rotary stands with every woman and child, ensuring no one is left behind.”
This impactful initiative reflects Rotary’s deep commitment to improving maternal and child health, one of the organization’s Seven Areas of Focus—empowering families and strengthening communities through compassion and care.
