The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU), led by President Alvin Ray Mari Dumuk, formally received full polio donation cans from Lorma Hospital, represented by Rotarian Ismael Caasi. The turnover took place as part of RCSFLU’s sustained campaign in support of Rotary International’s global mission to End Polio Now.

The donation is part of Rotary’s long-standing tradition of community-driven fundraising for polio eradication, a cause that has united Rotarians around the world for over three decades. The contribution from Lorma Hospital reflects strong local support for global health efforts, proving that even small acts—such as coin donations—can collectively save lives and create change.
President Alvin expressed his gratitude to Lorma Hospital and acknowledged the generosity and consistent involvement of Rotarian Caasi.
He emphasized that this act of service reinforces not only the Rotary commitment to eradicating polio but also this year’s Rotary theme, “Unite for Good”, by fostering collaboration among sectors that share a vision for a healthier and safer future.

While polio may seem like a disease of the past, it remains a global threat until it is completely eradicated. Every effort—no matter how small—plays a vital role in this mission. Partnerships with institutions like Lorma Hospital help ensure that Rotary’s End Polio Now advocacy remains strong, visible, and impactful across communities.
