RC San Fernando La Union Holds 21st Regular Meeting Featuring Spotting Fake News with PIA

RC San Fernando La Union conducted its 21st Regular Meeting at Thunderbird, bringing together members in an atmosphere of fellowship, collaboration, and shared purpose. The gathering served as a venue to strengthen camaraderie among Rotarians while advancing discussions on key initiatives and community-focused programs.

Highlighting the meeting were guest speakers: Mr. Chester Carlo M. Trinidad and Ms. Jennilyne C. Role, Regional Director both from the Philippine Information Agency – Regional Office 1 (Ilocos Region).

The speakers shared insights on the role of government communication in promoting public awareness, transparency, and citizen engagement across the Ilocos Region. Their presentation emphasized the importance of accurate information dissemination in empowering communities and supporting development initiatives. They also gave tips on how to spot fake news in social media.
