The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) successfully carried out its Unite for Hope Relief Operation, providing essential relief goods to 21 families who were hard hit affected in Barangay Baraoas, San Fernando City, La Union.
The beneficiaries received rice, loaf bread, canned goods, towels, banigs, coffee, food packs, and water jugs courtesy of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Industries La Union (FCCILU). Clothes and blankets were also donated by Past President Ferdinand and the Fernandez family.
The relief drive was made possible through the support of RCSFLU members, with Governor Ronald Dy and the La Union Cultural Institute (LUCI) kids joining the distribution efforts. Special thanks were given to Rtn. Angelo Dorotan for coordinating with Barangay Baraoas and leading the operation on the ground together with him in the needs assessment was Service Project Director Kyle Miguel Anthony Aungon.
The club extended its heartfelt gratitude to all Rotarians and partners involved, underscoring their shared mission of service above self.
In times of calamity, when storms leave communities shaken and uncertain, Unite for Hope becomes more than a project—it becomes a lifeline. The Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union rises not just to deliver relief, but to restore dignity, comfort, and hope to those left vulnerable by the typhoon’s wrath.
Acts of kindness—like sharing food, warmth, and presence—remind us that even in the darkest storms, compassion is our strongest shelter. As we rebuild, may this spirit of unity continue to guide us forward and live this year's presidential message of Unite For Good.
