RC San Fernando La Union Activates ‘Water for Life’ Stations Following Typhoon

In the wake of Typhoon Emong’s onslaught, the Rotary Club of San Fernando La Union (RCSFLU) promptly activated its Water for Life initiative to address the urgent need for clean and safe drinking water in affected communities.

Two Water for Life stations were set up at San Fernando North Central School and Catbangen Central School, providing free, potable drinking water to residents who were left without access to clean water due to power outages and disrupted supply lines.

Clean water is critical in times of disaster, not only to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases but also to help families regain a sense of normalcy and health amid crisis.

The timely response of RCSFLU has brought much-needed relief to the community, ensuring that affected families, especially children, remain hydrated and safe during this period of recovery.

Through initiatives likeWater for Life, RCSFLU continues to demonstrate its commitment to service above self—responding swiftly, compassionately, and effectively when the community needs it most.
