RC Narra Central Creates Lasting Impact on the Lives of Children with Special Needs

Excerpts  from HIP Solange of RC Narra Central Inaugural Speech focusing on Creating a Lasting Impact on the Lives of Children with Special Needs.

“Imagine being a child who is learning, growing, and dreaming, yet constantly made to feel different, incapable, or less deserving of opportunity….

Now imagine a Rotary community answering that message with something stronger.

You matter. You belong. We believe in you. We will walk with you…

I want us to be remembered that a child with special needs reach its full potential because Rotary believes in him.”

- HIP Solange Nikkamae Josue

On August 31, 2026, the Rotary Club of Narra Central participated in the 7 Clubs Joint Induction at Holiday Suites, Puerto Princesa City, which followed the Governor’s Visit at Ka Inato, participated by member Totarians and Rotaractors. The activities strengthened fellowship and leadership while reaffirming the Club’s commitment to Service Above Self and Rotary’s mission to create lasting community impact. High-Impact Governor Jaz Limon and spouse Boyet, Past Governors, District Officers, and fellow Rotarians joined the celebration.

During the gathering, HIP Solange Nikkamae Josue presented the Club’s Signature Project, the Holistic Intervention for Children with Special Needs of Narra Pilot School. Inspired by her vocation as a physician, Rotary heritage, and faith, she emphasized every child’s inherent worth, dignity, abilities, and potential. The project aims to ensure that disability does not limit opportunities or diminish a child’s value.

Aligned with Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, the project combines education, developmental and health support, safe water and hygiene, inclusion, protection from bullying, maternal and child health, environmental stewardship, and livelihood assistance for families. It also empowers teachers, strengthens families, builds confidence, restores hope, and helps children recognize their capacity to contribute to society.

Reflecting Create Lasting Impact and the District thrust of SHE—Simple, Happy, and Easy, HIP Solange called on Rotarians to affirm every child’s value: “You matter. You belong. We believe in you. We will walk with you.” RC Narra Central remains committed to compassionate, inclusive service that transforms lives—one child, family, and community at a time.
