RC Metro Kalibo Requests Space for Project WALK

On September 1, 2026, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) has officially submitted Resolution No. 2026-001, requesting that the LGU of Kalibo allocate a dedicated space for Project WALK’s Assessment, Fitting, and Rehabilitation Center.

The proposed center would support Project WALK’s continuing provision of free prosthetic limbs, assistive devices, and long-term care for persons with disabilities in a safe, permanent, and accessible facility.

The request was presented during a courtesy call with LGU Kalibo Vice-Mayor Phillip Yerro Kimpo. Also in attendance were President Leo Franklin Magno, Secretary Fe Marie Magno, Director Ricky Molo, and Director PP Megs Lunn.

The initiative reflects the club’s continued commitment to accessible mobility support and long-term care for persons with disabilities in the community.

Rotary Project WALK recently celebrated 18 years of providing free prosthetic legs to people with disabilities across Aklan and neighboring cities and provinces. Its long-standing supporters, Walk Now Center Inc. and sister club Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830), recently launched a WALK coffee-table book to help support future recipients.
