RC Metro Kalibo and Autism Hearts Foundation Unite for Meaningful Inclusion

On January 23, 2026, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo teamed up with Autism Hearts Foundation, Inc. to launched a week-long initiative for the 30th National Autism Consciousness Week, held at CityMall, Kalibo, Aklan.
The event aligns with Presidential Proclamation No. 711 and follows this year’s national theme: “Mula Kamalayan Tungo sa Gawa: Pag-unlad ng Autism-OK Philippines” (From Awareness to Action: Advancing an Autism-OK Philippines).
The highlight was the Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), as our pledged to its ongoing commitment to Maternal and Child Health, focusing on accessible services and meaningful inclusion for those on the autism spectrum.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Autism Hearts Philippines, Inc. by Vice President Lissa Limson Sobrepeña, representing Dr. Erlinda Borromeo, President, and by Nora Helber, President of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850).
The signing was witnessed by Christine Staver, Board Director of Autism Hearts Philippines, PP Ricky Molo, Art Mentor and AHP Program Coordinator, and international guests including Valerie Maravilla and Margery Howard from Wisconsin, USA; PP Vicki Greenberg of the Locust Valley Rotary Passport Club, District 7255, New York, and Amina Razack from Florida, USA.
Also present were Ms. Anna India Legaspi, former Art Mentor of Autism FAAB, other members of the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo, parents, and children with autism who are beneficiaries of the program.
The exhibit will run until Jan. 31, 2026.
