RC Baguio Highlands Turn Over Improved Sanitation Facilities and Smart Learning Equipment to Baguio Central School

The Rotary Club of Baguio Highlands (RCBH), in partnership with the Rotary Club of Shin Yangsan, successfully conducted a Ribbon Cutting and Turnover Ceremony on February 19, 2026, at the Covered Court of DepEd Tayo Baguio Central School, marking another milestone in Rotary’s commitment to service above self.

The project featured the construction and rehabilitation of the school’s comfort rooms and handwashing facilities—including improved basement, ground floor, and second floor amenities—as well as the donation of a 65-inch Interactive TV for the school’s Smart Learning Classroom.

These initiatives strongly support the Department of Education’s Wash in School (WInS) Program by promoting proper hygiene, safety, and dignity among learners and personnel, while also enhancing technology-assisted instruction and classroom engagement.

The ceremony was attended by Rotarian, school officials, teachers, PTA officers, barangay representatives, and students, highlighted by a warm welcome from the School Principal, inspiring remarks from RCBH President Mr. Ponciano Valdez Jr., and messages of gratitude from education and community leaders.

The event concluded with the ribbon cutting, official turnover, and signing of the Deed of Donation—symbolizing unity, shared responsibility, and Rotary’s enduring mission to create sustainable, impactful change in the community.
