ANTIPOLO CITY – Project H.A.N.D.A. (Helmets, Aid, and Necessities for Disaster Awareness) was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of the Rotary E-Club of Marikina, Rotary E-Club of Scale Experts MaRiz, and the Rotary Club of Marikina South at the PAGRAI Unit 4 Child Development Center (ECCD) in Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City.
The project benefited 74 young learners, who received protective helmets and emergency medical kits aimed at enhancing their safety and well-being. The initiative was designed to provide essential protective gear and basic medical supplies that could help safeguard the children in times of emergency or disaster.
Recognizing that children are among the most vulnerable members of the community during disasters, the Rotary clubs worked together to introduce the importance of safety, health support, and disaster preparedness at an early age. By equipping the children with helmets and medical kits, the project seeks to build awareness on personal safety while encouraging preparedness within the school and community. Project H.A.N.D.A. reflects Rotary’s continued commitment to community service and humanitarian efforts, particularly in promoting the welfare and protection of children.
The collaboration among Rotary clubs also highlights the power of partnership in delivering meaningful and sustainable service projects that benefit local communities. Through unity in service, the Rotary E-Club of Marikina, Rotary E-Club of Scale Experts MaRiz, and the Rotary Club of Marikina South continue to make a difference by empowering communities, protecting the young, and fostering a culture of preparedness for a safer future.
