True to the spirit of Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong Biyaya once again extended love, compassion, and hope through its annual flagship outreach project, "Handog Biyaya: Paskong Masaya Para sa mga Kapatid Nating Aeta" – Year 3, held on December 7, 2025, at Sitio Gala, Barangay Sacatihan, Subic, Zambales.
Now on its third year, Handog Biyaya has become a meaningful tradition for the club—an embodiment of Rotary’s commitment to uplift indigenous communities through sustained service, not one-time acts of charity. This year’s initiative focused on bringing the joy of Christmas closer to the Aeta community by distributing Noche Buena food packages to 180 families, and school supplies and clothes to 300 Aeta children, ensuring that both their immediate needs and future aspirations were thoughtfully addressed.
The activity was filled with warmth, smiles, and heartfelt moments as Rotarians, partners, and volunteers personally engaged with the community. The children’s laughter, the grateful smiles of parents, and the strong sense of togetherness served as powerful reminders that service is most impactful when delivered with empathy and genuine human connection.
This project was made possible through the strong collaboration between the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong Biyaya, Community of Blessed Couples Mission, Inc., and The Cathay Drug Co., Inc., demonstrating how partnerships amplify the reach and sustainability of Rotary initiatives.
As shared by Good President Karl F. Landicho, “Handog Biyaya is not just about giving goods—it is about sharing hope, dignity, and the message that our Aeta brothers and sisters are not forgotten. Through unity and service, we truly live the Rotary ideal of ‘Unite for Good.’”
With gratitude to God for the blessings entrusted to the club, Handog Biyaya – Year 3 stands as a testament to Rotary’s enduring mission: to serve communities, strengthen lives, and create lasting impact—one act of kindness at a time.
Indeed, when Rotarians come together with purpose, Christmas becomes more meaningful, and service becomes a lasting gift.
